Pali Chandra - Artistic Director
Dr.Pali Chandra is a dancer, choreographer, educationist and the Artistic Director of Gurukul, Studios. An internationally acclaimed, well renowned exponent of the Indian classical dance form of Kathak, she is highly trained by her gurus – late Guru Vikram Singhe, Pandit Ram Mohan Maharaj and Mrs. Kapila Raj of Lucknow and Delhi Gharanas. Her expertise in dance education has been recognised the world over through Gurukul Studios in Dubai, Zurich and Bangalore, a well as her online portals – www.learkathakonline.com and www.natyasutraonline.com
Somna Tugnait - Director
A trained professional in the field of Human Resources and a dedicated art enthusiast, Somna Tugnait is a well loved arts entrepreneur. She leads Gurukul from the front in all its projects. Having been attached to the corporate worlds of aviation for almost 2 decades, she brings to Gurukul her distinct methodologies, fair business practices and a vision to be the best Indian dance academy in the Middle East with branches in India and Switzerland.
Payel Das - Head of Faculty - Dubai
Payel Das trains and harnesses the skills of hundreds of students and aligns them to the art form with great dedication. Besides learning in Kolkata and Lucknow from prestigious institutes, she is a Masters Degree holder in Kathak from Banaras Hindu University and a well established, recognised performer. She has earned the blessings, love and respects of her Gurus Smt. Saswati Mukherjee, Prof. Ranjana Srivastava and Dr. Vidhi Nagar and presently mentored by Guru Pali Chandra
Ritika Das - Senior Faculty Member
Ritika Das – Kathak Dance Instructor at Gurukul Studios, Dubai.
Her zeal and enthusiasm for dance led her to start Kathak training at a very tender age. She has done her Masters degree in Performing Arts from Banaras Hindu University. She has been performing for major festivals across India and UAE . She has received CCRT scholarship by Ministry Of Culture, Government of India and also won many National level competitions. She is currently being mentored by Guru Pali Chandra.
Dhanashree Shingare - Kathak Dance Instructor
Dhanashree Shingare, a passionate Kathak dancer and a mother of two beautiful girls. She continues to learn Kathak and is also doing her Rangmanch training under the guidance of Guru Pali Chandra. Her creative, professional and elegant personality along with deep love for Kathak makes her a fantastic teacher to our younger ones.
Bindya Mahesh - Admin Head
Bindya brings with her strong customer service, communication, administrative & analytical skills having worked across sectors such as banking, travel & tourism and market research. Her deep understanding and passion for art enables her to bring structure and systems in the overall functioning of Gurukul Studios. Her warm and approachable personality helps in liasoning with parents and students to understand their needs and expectations enabling an effective learning environment within Gurukul.
