Taalmala By Pali Chandra

16th Sep - Taalmala - 7pm to 9 pm. Paliji will be performing on the 16th of September at The Indian Consulate and all of you are invited. Please register your names with me or Janice so that we can inform the Consulate to prepare themselves mentally for the audience.
Well - what is Taalmala? A presentation  by Guru Pali Chandra on her mastery over taals or rhythm cycles. The similarities and differences between the 4 major taals used in kathak - Teental, Jhaptaal, Ektaal and Dhamaartaal. Complex choreographies of a level rarely seen in Dubai. She will be accompanied on stage by her students who are getting ready for their Rangmanch Pravesh. This will be followed by yet another feast for our artistic souls. Paliji has been awarded the prestigious Lacchhu Maharaj Award for her abhinaya or art of expression. She will showcase this through compositions on Thumri, Kajari, Chaiti and Dadra. Top notch musicians from Lucknow are travelling to accompany her on stage and bring this production to life.
